Last time, we reached out to 6 survival experts to find out what everyday items they’ve used in a survival scenario. The responses we got were nothing short of ingenious! It inspired us to find everyday items that can be used to deal with accidental lockouts.

With the help of our lock picking community and a ton of research, we tested out a number of lock picking hacks and weeded out what works from what doesn’t. From plastic bottles to bobby pins, here’s a handy infographic to help you pick your way out of a lockout situation.
